Youth Ministry
A place to flourish...
Our youth ministry is for students in 6th through 12th grade. This ministry aims to form Christ-centered, gospel-focused disciples of Jesus Christ, equipped to evangelize and make disciples themselves. This will be accomplished primarily through the expositional teaching of God’s sufficient and inerrant Word while building relationships in a multi-generational, gospel-based community. There are unique spiritual and emotional challenges to these pivotal years in one’s life, and we seek to answer the tough questions, work through the tough seasons, and grow in love for God and neighbor together.

What We Do
sunday life group
Every Sunday at 10:30 am (after worship service), we gather at the LOFT on the third floor of Old National Bank, just across the street from our church building. You can enter via the double doors on N Court St.
wednesday nights
We also gather every Wednesday night at the LOFT. Free food is served at most gatherings beginning at 5:30 pm. Bible study then takes place from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
special events
Various events are held throughout the year for the youth, including retreats, game nights, bowling, special dinners, outreach events, and more. In the future, we pray that older youth may have opportunities to serve the Lord through short-term domestic and international mission trips.
Important Info
current studies
In Sunday Life Group, all youth are working through the book of Luke and given practical guidance on how to apply it to their lives.
On Wednesday nights, youth are split up into middle school and high school age groups for Bible study. The middle schoolers are currently studying the book of Colossians (Fall ’24). The high schoolers take a more topical approach.
Bus Information
If you would like your 6th to 12th grader to be bussed to the church for our Wednesday Night gatherings, please complete this permission form. This is only offered on Wednesday nights unless otherwise announced. Transportation to and from church on Sundays is a hopeful future prospect at the moment and depends on interest.
Upcoming Events
*Important* Please note any events for which sign-up is required. Last-minute attempts to join may be denied. Trips are a privilege, not a right. Students exhibiting repeated behavioral issues may not be allowed to attend certain events.
- Winter Clothes Shopping Trip (10/20/24). We’ll go to the mall in Evansville after Sunday School. Lunch is on the church. Bring your own money to shop or just come to hang out.
- Loftsgiving (11/20/24). Join us in the LOFT for a Thanksgiving dinner during our normal Wednesday night hours. Don’t bring any food! This is an opportunity for our adults leaders to serve you and show you how thankful we are for our youth. Note: If you ride the bus, you may either leave at 7:00 pm per usual or stay with everyone until 8:00 pm (our planned end time) at which time we will take you home.
- Progressive Dinner (12/7/24). The annual Progressive Dinner is a time where we travel to various houses of our beloved church members, enjoying a time of fellowship, devotion, and food. Each house will serve a course (appetizer, soup/salad, entree, or dessert). All this is completely free to our youth. 3:30 pm until ~8:30 pm. Sign-Up Required.
- WinterJam Overnight (TBA). We will attend WinterJam and stay overnight at the city in which it is held, participating in a fun activity or two around the city. The specific dates will be announced shortly after WinterJam releases their tour dates. Sign-Up Required.
- MFuge Summer Camp (6/2-6/25). We’re officially registered for Summer Camp! We have 12 spots reserved for youth on this trip. This will be an MFuge Camp, which is a more missional camp opportunity for our youth. We’ll gather with youth from around the country, worshipping and hearing speakers in the morning. In the afternoon, we’ll go out into the Louisville community to serve in whatever capacity the camp organizers have prepared for us. In the evenings, we’ll have a great opportunity for fellowship and Bible study just within our own youth group. This will be free to our youth, but they must attend our fundraising events (dates TBA) in March and May to go to this camp. Sign-Up Required.
