Welcome to the first post of our Pastor’s Blog! Whether you’re a teenager navigating high school, a young adult chasing dreams, a parent juggling responsibilities, or a retiree reflecting on a life well-lived, God has a message for you today: Be faithful in the now. In a world that tempts us to wait for grand signs or perfect moments, Jesus calls us to trust Him and act in faith—right where we are.

In Luke 16:10, Jesus teaches, “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much.” This verse reminds us that God values our faithfulness in the small, unseen corners of life. Whether you’re studying for exams, changing diapers, or serving quietly at work, these moments are not insignificant to God. Like the janitor at NASA who saw his sweeping as part of putting a man on the moon, your daily acts of obedience contribute to God’s eternal Kingdom. Ask yourself: What small thing is God calling me to be faithful in today?

Jesus expands this idea in Matthew 25:1-13, the Parable of the Ten Virgins, urging us to “live ready” for His return. The wise virgins prepared their lamps with extra oil, staying vigilant even in the delay. This active readiness isn’t about waiting for a divine signal but living connected to Jesus through prayer, Scripture, and obedience. For the student, it might mean sharing your faith with a friend. For the parent, it could be praying consistently for your kids. For the retiree, it’s serving in small ways at church. Are you keeping your lamp burning bright by staying connected to Jesus?

In Matthew 12:38-42, Jesus confronts the Pharisees who demanded a sign, declaring Himself the ultimate Sign through His death and resurrection. Too often, we mimic their hesitation, waiting for confirmation before we act. But as Jesus says, the proof is already here—His love displayed on the cross. Romans 5:8 reminds us, “God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Whatever stage of life you’re in, stop waiting for another sign. Trust Jesus now, whether it’s taking a step of faith in your career, forgiving a loved one, or surrendering your future to Him.

Finally, 2 Corinthians 5:7 challenges us: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Faith is a daily decision, like a soldier trusting the commander’s voice in the fog. It’s choosing to follow God’s Word over fleeting emotions or circumstances. Romans 10:17 assures us, “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” So, dig into Scripture daily—it’s the foundation that steadies you through life’s uncertainties, from the pressures of youth to the reflections of old age.

Wherever you are in life, God is calling you to trust Him now. Don’t wait for a better job, calmer circumstances, or a heavenly billboard. The cross is your sign, and Jesus is your Savior. Take one step of faith today—pray, forgive, serve, or share the Gospel. As you do, you’ll find God weaving your small acts of obedience into His eternal story.

Prayer: Lord, help us to be faithful in the small things, to live ready, and to trust You now. Stir our hearts to walk by faith, rooted in Your Word, for Your glory. Amen.
